America - The Leader of The Free World (Oh Really?)

You know it's wonderful to hide behind your laptop, desktop, or smart phone and anonymously share with the world your views about race, religion, politics and life in general.
It saddens me to no end to realize that a man who could possibly change the world's negative perception of America may not be elected solely because he's not the "right" color.
All this stereotypical crap about the oval office smelling like weed, or Obama sleeping all day, or Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and other not-so-popular loud mouth Black Americans pulling the race card everytime Obama is criticized is a bunch a crap spoken or written by people who have no justifiable cause to not elect Obama. It's fear!
Fear, at some point or another, has held us all captive. That's what it's designed to do. But we can not live in fear. We must be strong enough, open-minded enough, courageous enough, American enough - to do the right thing.
How can any of us ever forget what we were doing when we heard the news September 11, 2001 - I was in bed with my 5 month old son. I was held captive to any and every television station that was reporting the events as they unfolded. I cried for those lost. I prayed that survivors would be found. I shook in terror just imagining what those poor souls on the airplanes that were turned into weapons of mass destruction must have felt.
We united as a country with one goal in mind - to never allow this to happen to us again and to make those responsible pay (and pay dearly).
Well, 7 years later, and with over 4000 American lives lost, we still haven't made those who claimed responsibility pay. Yes, Hussein is dead. But (and correct me if I'm wrong) I don't ever remember him claiming any responsibility for 9-11.
I don't profess to be current on a lot of world events or an extremely political person. Still, I can't quite understand why we ever invaded Iraq and for God's sake WHY ARE WE STILL THERE?
For that reason and that reason alone, WE CANNOT HAVE ANOTHER 4 YEARS OF SOME ONE WHO WANTS TO KEEP OUR FELLOW AMERICANS IN IRAQ FOR THE NEXT 100 YEARS.
Wake up people! It's time for a change.
You can allow you're prejudices (something that's learned which means it can be unlearned) to get in the way. Or you can show the world what being an American truly means - E Pluribus Unum - OUT OF MANY, ONE!
